Odds on Germany to win Euro 2024

What are the odds for Germany to win Euro 2024?

The European Championships are just around the corner and Germany will be looking to lift the trophy on home soil. But what are the odds for Germany to win Euro 2024?

Somewhat of a sleeping giant of international men’s football, Germany will be hoping to give their home fans something to cheer about this summer. Founded back in 1908, Germany have consistently been one of the most successful international sides in the world. Only Brazil can better Germany’s four World Cup titles, last winning the competition in 2014.

The DFB-Team are also the joint record holder for European Championships with three (1972, 1980, and 1996). That bodes well for Julian Nagelsmann’s side heading into Euro 2024 on home turf and with odds of 7.00, they could be ones to watch this summer. What are the chances for Germany to win Euro 2024?

Germany are perhaps the biggest dark horses for the Euro 2024 title. Their odds are boosted slightly by being the home side, which always gives you a crowd advantage in major tournaments. However, the German national team has been slowly cultivating an impressive crop of players over the last few years, many of whom come into the European Championships in top form.

The Germans have been placed into a group with Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland and will kick off the tournament with Group A’s first match against the Scots. The DFB-Team should be able to ease their way through this group and into the knockouts this summer, with a good mixture of youth and experience in their starting XI.

The likes of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Antonio Rüdiger, Thomas Müller, Toni Kroos and Ilkay Gundogan offer one of the most decorated and experienced spines in international football. Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz also offer more flare, youth, and unpredictability in the final third, while Kai Havertz is in the form of his life for Arsenal in the Premier League.

Many may see Germany as the best value for money at Euro 2024, with odds of 6.50 compared to England’s 4.00 and France’s 5.20. Home support has always played a factor in international football and Germany’s squad is perhaps in better form than both their top two rivals. They come into the tournament off the back of a 2-0 away win over France and a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in March, setting them up perfectly for a deep run into the Euro 2024 knockouts.

Germany haven’t been in a European Championship final since 2008 when they were defeated 1-0 by that iconic Spanish squad. Could this finally be the year they announce themselves back on the international stage in the biggest of ways?
