What are the odds for Spain to win Euro 2024?

The European Championships are just around the corner and Spain are one of the dark horses to win the competition. But what are the odds for Spain to win Euro 2024?

The Spanish national team will be hoping to burst back onto the scene this year after a decade of dormancy as they arrive in Germany for the Euros. Founded in 1920, Spain are one of the most decorated national teams in the world. La Roja are one of only eight national teams to have won the World Cup and have three European Championship titles to their name, as well as the 2022/23 Nations League.

Only two teams have won a World Cup, European Championship and Nations League title – Spain and France. Spain are also one of only two European teams to win a World Cup outside of Europe when they lifted the Jules Rimet trophy in South Africa in 2010. The other team was Germany when they lifted the trophy four years later in Brazil.

They head into Euro 2024 as the joint-fourth favourites to win the entire tournament, with odds of 9.50. Check out more of the team’s odds and other odds on Euro 2024 in our sportsbook and make your predictions.

What are the chances for Spain to win Euro 2024?

Spain may be outsiders to win Euro 2024, but they are very much in with a chance in Germany. The main stumbling block for La Roja will be getting out of Group B unscathed, with many referring to it as the ‘Group of Death’.

Spain are joined by the current European champions, Italy, 2018 World Cup finalists, Croatia, and Albania. Spain are currently ranked eighth in the FIFA World Rankings, but Italy are in ninth and Croatia in tenth, showing just how fiercely contested Group B could become.

Spain come into the tournament in decent form, although clean sheets have been hard to come by, partly due to their open and expansive style of play. Back-to-back 3-1 victories over Cyprus and Georgia were followed by a 1-0 defeat to Colombia and a 3-3 draw with Brazil heading into Euro 2024.

However, the Spanish team may be peaking at just the right time, with the likes of Dani Olmo and Nico Williams having superb domestic seasons this year. Alvaro Morata will lead the line and wear the captain’s armband for the Spanish this summer and will also have his eye on the Golden Boot, while Rodri has cemented himself as the best holding midfielder in world football this season for Manchester City.

It has been a while since we have seen Spain climb to the summit of tournament football, but their legacy on the international stage is surpassed by no one. Between 2008 and 2012, Spain dominated major tournaments, winning the 2010 World Cup between two back-to-back European Championship titles. Playing a trademark brand of fast-paced tika taka football, many football experts see that Spain squad as the most dominant footballing force the world has ever seen.

The likes of Xavi, Iniesta and David Villa have long since retired from the international game, but Spain will be looking to reclaim their throne this summer. And at odds of 9.50, they could be a fantastic dark horse bet.
